The ‘2023 Yanggu Peace Cup North Korean Defectors & Multicultural Football Festival’ opened on the 4th.
This two-day event, held at the Yanggu Sports Complex in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do, was held with the purpose of supporting social adaptation of new members such as North Korean defectors and multicultural families and contributing to global society. On the 4th, a total of 32 North Korean defectors & multicultural teams participated and divided into 8 groups to play the preliminaries in the group stage of the full league. 16 teams advanced to the main tournament.
