Adames ‘hit in the head by a pitch in the dugout’: “It’s not a big deal”

Milwaukee placed Adames on the seven-day disabled list (IL) on Monday with a concussion.

In the bottom of the second inning, a foul ball hit by teammate Brian Anderson flew into the dugout and struck Adames in the head. The game was stopped for a few minutes while trainers assessed his condition.
Luckily, he was able to walk to the clubhouse.
After the game, Milwaukee head coach Creighton Counsell said, “He was examined at the hospital and did not have any broken bones or other injuries.” He is currently resting at home.
“I was able to talk to him a little bit last night, and he kept telling me, ‘Don’t worry about me,'” said Anderson, who hit the foul ball. “I’m hoping and praying for a speedy recovery,” he said.
