‘All in’ for the treble…”Opportunity to travel is rare” Celtic boss virtually rejects Tottenham move
Ange Postecoglou is determined to focus on the Domestic Treble.
Celtic have secured the Scottish Premiership title early after winning the League Cup this season. Oh, who arrived in a Celtic shirt in the European football winter transfer window, has lifted two trophies in less than half a year. Having already achieved the ‘double’, Celtic’s sights are set on the ‘treble’. Celtic are set to face Inverness CT in the Scottish Cup final, and if Celtic win the final, they will claim the Domestic Treble. The Domestic Treble refers to winning three domestic competitions.메이저놀이터
Postecoglou said he is focused on achieving the Domestic Treble. Postecoglou is reportedly being considered by Tottenham Hotspur as their next manager after Arne Slott, but in a recent interview he effectively turned down the job at Spurs, stating that he would prioritise achieving the goals in front of him rather than his own future.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Postecoglou said: “What is important to me is where I am now (at Celtic). I have never planned anything in my entire football career. All I want to do now is enjoy tomorrow, play a good game, win the cup final and make this year a special one. It’s not every year that you get the chance to achieve a treble. Anyone who says I’m thinking about anything other than that doesn’t know me,” he said, adding that his focus is on the team.
Meanwhile, the Tottenham managerial position remains vacant. Most recently, Feyenoord’s Slott was the favourite to become Spurs’ next manager. Slott, who has been in charge of Feyenoord since last season, led the club to an early league title this season after finishing third in the league and runners-up in the UEFA Europa Conference League in his first season. Feyenoord reached the top of the Dutch Eredivisie for the first time in six years. In their search for a new manager, Tottenham turned to a young, promising, and talented slot manager.
“For me, the best stage in the world is the English Premier League (EPL),” Slott said at the press conference, “and I’ll see you in London. The sun is in London, and I’m going to go where the sun is,” hinting at a parting of the ways with Feyenoord.
However, Slott changed his tune and decided to stay at Feyenoord. He spoke to local Dutch media about his decision to stay, and Feyenoord officially announced on their website that he has signed a new contract with the club until 2026. Some had suggested that Slott had used Tottenham to get a better deal from Feyenoord.
