The Los Angeles Dodgers snapped a three-game losing streak.
The Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves, 8-6, on the road in the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) opener for the Atlanta Braves at Truiste Park in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S., on Sunday. With the win, the Dodgers snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 30-19 on the season.
Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double, home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored. The hometown team took advantage. J.D. Martinez was also hot, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, two RBIs, and three runs scored.
Orlando Arcia went 2-for-4 with a double and Eddie Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, and three RBIs, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Atlanta from losing. Atlanta is now 29-18 on the season.
The Dodgers jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning. Starter Gavin Stone gave up an RBI single to Sean Murphy and a leadoff triple to Rosario.
But the Dodgers didn’t sit still. They began to chip away in the second inning. Martinez hit a solo shot to left to pull within one.
In the fourth, Freeman led off with a double and came home on infield singles by Max Smith and Muncy. In the next at-bat, Martinez singled up the middle to load the bases, and David Peralta followed with an RBI triple.안전놀이터
