KBO signs a baseball center operation agreement with ‘Gijang·Boeun·Hoengseong

On the 9th, KBO (President Heo Gu-yeon) held an agreement ceremony to operate the KBO Baseball Center as the first step to lay the foundation for the future and sustainable growth of Korean baseball.

At the agreement ceremony, KBO President Heo Gu-yeon and three local governments participating in the KBO Baseball Center, Jeong Jong-bok, Gijang-gun, Choi Jae-hyeong, Boeun-gun, and Kim Myeong-gi, Hoengseong-gun, 안전놀이터attended and signed the KBO Baseball Center operation agreement.

President Heo Gu-yeon announced that he plans to carry out various programs to improve the future competitiveness of Korean baseball, such as competitions and training, basic training for youth players by age/position, and excellent player training camps, using the infrastructure of the three local governments selected as KBO baseball centers.

In addition, it expanded baseball base expansion programs such as T-ball supply, children’s baseball camp, club baseball, college club baseball, and women’s baseball, and established it as a regional base-type baseball cluster through player, coach, and referee education and R&D activities, and stable baseball center centered on it. He added that he would build an ecological base for baseball.

The heads of the three local governments express their gratitude to the KBO and baseball officials for providing the opportunity to be together as a win-win partner for the revitalization of the local economy and the development of baseball, and provide more interest and support so that it can become a baseball mecca for regional bases in the future.
