Manchester United activate contract extension option for ‘four players at once’… Except for De Gea.

I chose to extend the contract with four players whose contracts were about to expire. However, David de Gea (32) is excluded.

According to the British media’The Athletic’ on the 20th (Korean time), Manchester United has activated contract extension options with Diogo Dalot (23), Luke Shaw (27), Fred (29) and Marcus Rashford (25).

Several of Manchester United’s key players are facing expiry of contracts with the club this summer. This includes Dalot and Shaw, Fred, Rashford and De Gea.

While Cristiano Ronaldo (37), who was also about to end his contract with the club, terminated his contract early under mutual termination, no news of any renewal of the contract was reported.

Prior to signing a new contract, United had triggered an option to extend the contract. According to The Athletic, United have extended the contracts of Dalot, Shaw, Fred and Rashford by 12 months.

Reportedly, manager Eric ten Haag wants to tie Dalot, Shaw and Rashford to long-term contracts. They are all in charge of the team’s main axis in Ten Hag’s managerial system. 스포츠토토

In particular, coach Ten Haag expressed great satisfaction with Rashford’s performance in the World Cup. Previously, he praised through ‘BBC’, “Rashford’s development is dazzling. The only player more threatening than him is Kylian Mbafe (Paris Saint-Germain).”

In the case of Fred, things are a little different. Fred’s contract has also been extended, but he could be put in the summer transfer window and the plan is to prevent him from leaving the team for free.

Meanwhile, De Gea was not included in the contract extension list. ‘Express’ explained, “He will have the right to negotiate a free transfer abroad in the January transfer window next year, as scheduled.”

De Gea is willing to take a pay cut to stay at Old Trafford, but manager Ten Hag is reportedly wanting a new goalkeeper. De Gea’s contract renewal has become unclear as United are said to be looking for a new number one goalkeeper.
