The Texas Rangers have released their lineup to face Hyun-jin Ryu.

The lineup is Marcus Simien (second base), Corey Seager (shortstop), Robbie Grossman (right field), Mitch Garber (designated hitter), Jonah Heim (catcher), Nathaniel Lowe (first base), Ezequiel Duran (left field), Leodie Taveras (center field), and Jonathan Onelas (third base). Max Scherzer is the starting pitcher.
Compared to the previous day’s lineup, left-handed hitters Josh Smith and Evan Carter are out, while right-handers Duran and Onelas are in.
A total of seven batters, including three switch-hitters, will face Ryu from the right side of the plate.
Duran is batting .277 with a .325 on-base percentage and .446 slugging percentage in 114 games this season. He is a utility player who can play multiple positions.
He’s hitting .281 with a .344 OBP and .526 slugging percentage against lefties, which is better than his numbers against righties (.275/0.318/0.413).
Onellas is a rookie who has played in three games and one at-bat in the big leagues so far. Today was his first start.
In 108 games at Triple-A this season, he’s batting .250 with a .364 on-base percentage, .359 slugging percentage, eight home runs and 50 RBIs.
The batting order has also been adjusted slightly. Grossman, a switch-hitter, moved up to the No. 3 spot, while Lowe, a left-handed hitter, dropped to No. 6.
Texas, which is in second place in the American League West with a 79-64 record, is 25-15 against left-handed starters this season.
