‘The controversial golf rule’… ‘Because of the Brian Practice Club’
It is Wesley Bryan’s (USA) ‘absurd mistake’.
In September of last year, it broke out in the Monday qualifier of the PGA Tour Sanderson Palms Championship (total prize money of 7 million dollars). As Brian pulled his 7-iron on the 3rd hole, he noticed that it was not his club. The club I was testing on the driving range ahead of the tournament was in my caddy bag.
Rule 4.1b of Golf allows up to 14 메이저놀이터golf clubs. The player receives a two-stroke penalty for the breaching hole, up to a maximum of four penalty strokes for that round. Brian forgot to remove his practice club before the round. He played two holes with 15 clubs and received a four-stroke penalty.
Brian debuted on the PGA Tour in 2016 and won one win at the RBC Heritage in April 2017. He is currently ranked 910th in the world. Although he is unknown as a player, he is a well-known star on the Internet. The anecdote of his paying for the Qualifying (Q) School with the money he earned from the ‘Trick Shot’ video is famous.
Brian made an issue in the fourth round of the 2017 PGA Tour BMW Championship. He played his only ‘play alone’ in the 4th round, where 69 players competed and played in a pair of two. He ran and moved, and threw a club to and from his caddy, who was far away, to ‘shorten the playing time’. Brian finished the game in 1 hour and 29 minutes. He posted ‘1 hour and 29 minutes’ on the social network service (SNS), revealing his satisfaction with his speed.
