Who the hell…Finding a replacement for Joris Sammanli Tottenham set sights on Milan in Raya woes

Who on earth are they trying to sign?

Tottenham Hotspur are struggling to find a replacement for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who looks set to leave the club in the summer transfer window. They want to make sure they have a solid number one, having learned the hard way at the end of the season that Fraser Forster wasn’t good enough.

However, the situation is complicated. Names like Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), Yacine Bunu (Sevilla), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid), and David Laya (Brentford) have been thrown around, but nothing seems to be happening.스포츠토토

This time, a new name has emerged. Frenchman Mike Mignolet (28, AC Milan). He also plays for the French national team, which makes him a natural fit to take over from Yoris.

After playing for OSC Lille, Meynan moved to AC Milan in the summer of 2021. He’s signed until the summer of 2026 and is firmly established as Milan’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Tottenham, of course, are focused on signing Lallana. His contract with Brentford expires in the summer of 2024, making this summer a prime transfer window. It’s the reported £40 million transfer fee that’s weighing on Spurs’ minds. The highest transfer fee ever for a goalkeeper was £72 million for Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea).

The £40 million figure is not even close to the level of Spurs’ finances or Daniel Levy’s recruitment strategy and negotiation tactics. Brentford have shown that they are willing to do business properly, and Tottenham are overpaying.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, “Tottenham have confirmed that they have made a bid for Menezes to Milan. However, he will cost more than Lallana. He has a long-term contract and is probably off Tottenham’s radar,” according to the Italian outlet.

When Milan signed Lallana from Lille, the transfer fee was £13 million. Tottenham were interested in signing him, but were outbid by Milan. The timing of the offer was much too late, and while Jose Mourinho’s goalkeeping coach, Nuno Santos, knew Menezes well from his time at Lille, the club’s management was apparently too impatient.

‘Milan are expected to pay at least £50 million,’ the source said. Tottenham will need to keep an eye on other clubs’ goalkeeper signings. It’s a tongue-in-cheek piece of advice that Spurs should take note of Chelsea’s willingness to sell Edouard Mendy and Inter Milan’s willingness to sell Andre Onana.
