‘WWE Lightweight Legend’ Tajiri, Korean professional wrestling ring… Big match with Cho Kyung-ho

‘Legend’ Tajiri, who used to be the lightweight champion in the world’s best professional wrestling organization WWE, will stand in the ring in Korea.

The professional wrestling organization Pro Wrestling Society (hereinafter referred to as PWS) announced that it would hold the ‘PWS Phoenix Rise’ competition at Sangsang Hall Gymnasium at Hansung University, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul at 3:00 pm on the 20th.

PWS is a professional wrestling organization founded in 2018 by third-generation professional wrestler Shiho. Over the past five years, he has held numerous professional wrestling events and left behind many famous matches. In September of last year, Joey Janela, the top star of the American indie pro wrestling world, was invited to the same venue and presented a bloody ‘hardcore’ match with Cho Gyeong-ho.

Tajiri, former WWE light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion, will face Jo Gyeong-ho, the best wrestler in Korea, in a single match.

Born in 1970, Tajiri is a 52-year-old veteran wrestler who is celebrating his 29th year of debut this year. In 1998, he joined ECW, a major group of the time led by Paul Heyman. He won several titles, including the ECW World TV Championship and the ECW World Tag Team Championship, and showed great success as an Asian lightweight fighter.

In May 2001, Tajiri was scouted by WWE (then WWF) and had his heyday, winning the lightweight, cruiserweight, and tag team championships.

He returned to Japan in 2005 and was active in various organizations such as All Japan, New Japan, HUSTLE, WRESTLE-1, and SMASH. In the 2010s, he made one-off appearances in WWE and TNA, revealing his continued presence. In January of this year, he joined Kyushu Pro Wrestling, an indie group based in Kyushu, Japan, and is over 50 years old, but is still active.

Tajiri’s opponent, Jo Gyeong-ho, is currently a commentator for WWE’s ‘RAW’, which is being aired on IB Sports Channel. A prolific main title holder, since his 2010 debut, he has been the PWS Champion (three total times) and PWS Tag Team Champion (two total times).

In this tournament, WWA Far East heavyweight champion Kim Min-ho participates as a guest and conducts an ‘open challenge’ in which he faces an unspecified random opponent.

America’s masked wrestler ‘American Eagle’ and France’s tall wrestler ‘Andre Cartier’ compete over each other’s mask and hair. It is a unique match with the condition that if the American Eagle loses, he will forever take off his precious mask, whereas if Andre Cartier loses, he will have his hair shaved and his coat burned.

In addition, a match between Gustav and Omerta, returning to the ring after three years, and a match between Seraphim and Akira Gonzalez from Australia are prepared.

The main event is the PWS Championship match. Shiho, the current PWS champion, defends against challenger Jin Gae-seong with the ‘TLC Match’ rule, legally using tables, ladders, and chairs.

These two have been ‘dog friends’ for 8 years since the previous active group (PLA). The beginning of the conflict was an incident in which Jin Gae-seong broke into Shiho’s long-haired game at the time of the 2015 tournament and cut off Shiho’s hair with scissors.먹튀검증

Recently, Jin Gae-seong stole Shiho’s PWS championship belt and ran away. Jin Gae-sung provoked Shi-ho, saying, “If you want to get the championship belt back, beat yourself.” Over the past eight years, the conflict has deepened rather than been resolved.
